Music now & then.
Music is an art. Music is learning, therapy and teaching tool. Music adjusts our moods, and used throughout our lives. There is a difference between music now and then. For a very long time music was not written down. It was sung or played from memory or real life. As it was passed on from person to person, many changes crept into the tunes. A lot of singers these days confuse art with crap. For example, Tupac Shakur’s song ‘Changes’ or ‘dear mama’. These songs talked about poverty and the tough life people live in. in ‘Dear Mama’ Tupac talked about his mother and how he loves her and appreciate her. Nowadays music is all about how loud the song can be. It’s not all about the lyrics or feeling the music. Many songs these days have no meaning. It’s all about being famous and the look and selling the high record. I like listing to R&B and Hip Hop. But my favorite type of music is Soul Music. Soul music is a music gernre combinig element of gospel music, rhythm and blues. Catchy rhythms, stressed by handclaps and extemporaneous body moves, are an important feature of soul music. I like listening to Stevie Wnder, Baby Face, Mary J Blige, Faith Evans and Toni Braxton. In my point of view, every person has their own type of music and the performer.
